How B2B Rocket broke into a market Apollo and ZoomInfo already owned
The challenge
B2B Rocket launched when Apollo, ZoomInfo, and others already had the market. Buyers already had a tool, so "try our platform" gave them no reason to reply.
What we ran
Meet Julie
We built a landing page with a live voice AI agent named Julie, then targeted prospects already using voice agents. The email made them ask one question: who's Julie?
This was one of our pattern-interrupt campaigns.
When they asked, we replied:
"You can chat with Julie live on our website. Click the microphone button and she'll join right away."
Prospects tried the product before they ever got on a sales call, so meetings started warm.
A different offer for every buyer
High-value prospects got pattern-interrupt personalization: their name on coffee cups, on whiteboards, in skywriting and more. Then we offered a free GTM plan and a coffee gift card for a call with B2B Rocket’s sales team.
Colder audiences got a clear problem-and-solution message, plus free sandbox access to test the AI agents themselves.
Where they are now
Within 3 years of launch, B2B Rocket was acquired by BlackPearl Group (opens in a new tab), a publicly listed company.
